The Laugavegur is one of the world’s great hikes: 55 kilometres from the hot springs of Landmannalaugar to the green valley of Thórsmörk, past steaming vents and black lava fields.
You carry only a day pack. Food, bags and sleeping bags travel by truck to each mountain hut.
